Primary and secondary mathematics competition preparation class
We offer various maths competitions preparation course for each students who love Maths!
Benefits of participating in math competitions:
To prepare for further education, the awards won in the competition can be recognized by many schools and serve as evidence of a student's academic performance.
To accumulate experience and familiarize students with question types in logic learning, and to enhance their sensitivity to logic question types;
To cultivate students' thinking methods and thought patterns in mathematics and science;
To enhance students' interest in mathematics and science;
It deepens and expands upon the mathematics content learned in daily school, laying a foundation for students' future mathematics education.

AMC Mathematics Competition
The AMC is an annual mathematics competition for secondary school students organized by the Mathematical Association of the United States. It is divided into three levels: 8, 10, and 12, which correspond to Grade 8 (Secondary 2) and below, Grade 10 (Secondary 4) and below, and CEGEP Grade 1, respectively.
The AMC exam covers topics from the secondary school mathematics curriculum, such as counting and probability, estimation, proportional reasoning, basic geometry including the Pythagorean theorem, spatial visualization, everyday applications, and reading and interpreting graphs and tables. Upper secondary school levels may cover linear or quadratic functions and equations, coordinate geometry, and other topics traditionally covered in introductory algebra courses.
The exam consists of 25 multiple-choice questions and lasts 40 minutes. It aims to promote problem-solving skills. The AMC provides secondary school students with an opportunity to cultivate analytical thinking and a positive attitude towards mathematics, which is beneficial for their future academic and career development.
The AMC exam is primarily in English, but also offers versions in French, Spanish, and other languages.
Taking the AMC exam can develop mathematical problem-solving and analytical skills; provide an additional academic advantage in the college application process; prepare students for a variety of different science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) career paths; cultivate students' interest in mathematics and science, and train them in core subjects in a fun, engaging, and discussion-based environment.

DOCM/COMC Mathematics Competition
The Open Mathematics Challenge Canada (DOCM/COMC) is Canada's premier national mathematics competition, open to any high school student interested in mathematics. The DOCM/COMC also serves as a primary qualifying event for the Canadian Mathematical Olympiad (CMO); students who achieve the qualifying score are invited to participate in the CMO.
The competition is divided into different levels according to grade: Year 8 (Secondary 2) and below, Year 9 (Secondary 3), Year 10 (Secondary 4), Year 11 (Secondary 5), and Year 12 (CEGEP). There are also corresponding age requirements for students. They must be under 19 years old before June 30 this year, and must have been attending primary, secondary or Cégep full-time school from at least September 15 this year.
The DOCM/COMC exam paper is the same for all students, with a total score of 80 points, and consists of three parts:
Part 1: Four introductory questions, 4 points each.
Part Two: Four questions of increased difficulty, 6 points each.
Part Three: Four lengthy proof questions, 10 points each.
The purpose of DOCM/COMC is to encourage students to explore, discover, and learn more about mathematics and problem-solving. The competition aims to provide teachers with a unique and enriching student activity for the fall semester.
The DOCM/COMC exam is primarily in English, but a French version is also available.
Participating in the DOCM/COMC exams can cultivate mathematical problem-solving and analytical skills. Winning results can lead to invitations to the Canadian Mathematical Olympiad. The results will be shared with partner universities of the Mathematical Association to help them provide academic scholarships for high-potential students and serve as an additional advantage on their university application journey.
